Final year CSE students presented 54 research papers at the International Conference on Recent Trends in Engineering & Technology (ICRTET 2025), covering domains including Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Machine Learning, and Cybersecurity.
CSE students swept 17 prizes across inter-departmental games: 1st in Hockey, Cricket, Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball, Handball & Football; 2nd in Badminton, Handball & Football; and podium finishes in Athletics (Shot Put, 800m) & Table Tennis.
III Year students Anushya Bharathi S, Divya Shree, and Gayathri participated in the Tamil Elocution Contest held at J J College of Arts & Science, Pudukottai, showcasing their communication and oratory skills at the regional level.
Team Adbul Rahman S, Manoj Kumar S, Deepan R & Arunpandiyan M (Mentors: Mrs. D. Elavarasi & Mrs. A. Sangeetha) won First Prize at both Regional and National levels for Smart Waste Management Systems for Metropolitan areas under Nalaya Thiran TechShowcase.
Team S. Reena Katherine, Sathiya Priya I, Priyadharshini S & Priyanka R (Mentors: Mrs. Elavarasi D & Mrs. Sathya) won Third Prize at Regional and National level for their innovative Nutrition Assistant Application at Umagine 2023.
Student Ramesh Kannan S (Mentor: Mrs. Elavarasi D) received a ₹7,500 state grant from the Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology for the Digital Inhaler project — addressing healthcare technology needs for patients across Tamil Nadu.
Team: Santhosh Kumar S, Subasri L, Ramesh Kannan S, Sathiya Priya I & Karupaiya A (Mentor: Mrs. Elavarasi D). Won at Noida Institute of Technology — developed AI-Enhanced OT Security Tools for GAIL Limited, a national energy company.
Team: Jonathan Sorenson Franklin, Srinisha P & Mageswari S (Mentors: Dr. Muthukumar N & Ms. Rama Prabha K). Won at Dr B C Roy Engineering College, Kolkata — developed a technique to neutralize unauthorized drones in crowded spaces for Madhya Pradesh Police.
Team: Senthil Raja B, Nandhagopal R, Nantha S, Pragathy S & Jothika P (Mentor: Mrs. A. Sangeetha). Won at Bhilai Institute of Technology for building an intelligent, autonomous Smart Luggage Carrier under AICTE Innovation at SIH Hardware Edition.
Team: Khaushalya M, Dhanasekaran B, Vaishali TR, Abdul Rahman S, Sneka S & Rubini M (Mentor: Dr. Kavitha V). Won at R.V University, Bangalore — developed Augmented Reality technology to detect and trace wiring harness faults for Volvo's manufacturing line.
Team: Adbul Rahman S, Manoj Kumar S & Deepan R (Mentor: Mrs. A. Sangeetha). Won 2nd Prize and ₹25,000 cash at the 11th CSI International Student Project Award 2022 for a low-cost insulin pump — making diabetes management affordable for all.
Team: Adbul Rahman S, Arunpandiyan M & Deepan R (Mentor: Mrs. A. Sangeetha) won ₹1,00,000 from the Entrepreneurship Development & Innovation Institute (EDII) at the Tamil Nadu Student Innovators competition, Chennai, for their low-cost insulin pump.
Team: Ramesh Kannan S, Sneha Sri S, Selcia M & Karupaiah A (Mentor: A. Sangeetha) won prize money for "DIRA — Secured and User Friendly App" at the CSI National Student Project Competition organized online by CSI & Saksoft.
Team: Santhosh Kumar S, Solai Meenal E & Mohamed Hasim K (Mentor: A. Sangeetha) won First Prize at the AICTE State Level Chhatra Vishwakarma Award 2020 for ORCOM — a Women Safety App addressing critical personal safety using intelligent mobile technology.
Team: Mr. Ragulkumarsingh, Mr. Rajesh S, Ms. Sivakamasundari S, Ms. Kaviya S, Ms. Divya T & Ms. Pavithra B (Mentors: Dr. Jayson K Jeyabharathan, Ms. Reka S & Mr. Jegadeesh N) won ₹1,00,000 for developing an electronic transmission system for heavy-duty industrial vehicles.
Team: Salai Nibunamani J, Mohamed Hasan Khan JM, Arun VR, Adhithya J, Dhivya S & Pavithra A (Mentor: Mrs. M S. Ramadevi) won ₹75,000 at Smart India Hackathon 2019 Software Edition at IIT Bhilai, Chattisgarh, for an intelligent Air Filter Monitoring solution for Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd (KOEL).
